(More customer reviews)I bought my Xbox 360 about a month ago. I love it. I wanted to buy the 25 dollar stand that had LEDs on it but it sold out so I was stuck with this one.
The base is decent and sturdy. It matches the Xbox case well but I had already put custom stickers on it. Oh well.
A little bit about my background: I've built and designed several different computer workstations for a variety of purposes. I well versed in computer heat dissipation and ventilation and have constructed several different cooling methods for PC's.
The stand works well and makes the Xbox fit snug, but the fans, from what it SEEMS, doesn't do the job I'd like. Simply put, it doesn't put the amount of CFM through the Xbox 360 that I'd like. They're sort of weak. When they kick the bucket I'll definitely be opening up this item and installing my own 80mm fans on there.
Now, I can't say that the fans are ineffective. They work. And ANY air movement through the xbox360 is an improvement and a sound investment. For $30-$33 bucks shipped to me, it's not like I'm really wasting any money. It *COULD* very well benefit the xbox360 and push heat out. It's just impossible for me to measure the CPU core and memory heat since there aren't any easily accessible censors.
Additionally I'd like to mention this product is designed better than those 'intercoolers'. The fans get their power from the USB ports, which don't put a strain on the Xbox's power supply. By inserting the 'intercooler' in the back, some say that it might throw fluctuations in the electricity that runs throughout its course inside the Xbox.

I'd give this product an honest, overall grade of C+. Plenty of room for improvement, but at the very least it works well to stabilize the xbox360.
I'd have really liked it if the damn thing had an on/off switch in the FRONT of the console rather than making me reach behind the damn thing each time I want to play.
