I had the bozo idea of connecting my PC with this by converting the VGA out to RCA outs and pushing through my input selector fronting my TV input. This way I could switch between computer, cable, and VHS/DVD with the central switch. Didn't work. Computers use some signaling in the VGA connector to communicate with the monitor to detect its rate and if its on or not. Since my PC couldn't detect the monitor, it won't (or the OS Ubuntu won't) send a signal to it. Doh!
It was a dumb idea anyway.
