WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!! Now it is on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Also, for the first time ever, you can play along with host Pat Sajak. Never before has Pat Sajak been on a Wheel of Fortune video game. Also, his voice is there along with Vanna White and the announcer Charlie O'Donnell. Also, do not worry about getting confused. Charlie O'Donnell, Pat Sajak, and Vanna White all tell you step-by-step how to play the game, whether you are using Wii Speak or not. Please make note of that, you do NOT need Wii Speak to play this exicting game. All Wii Speak enables you to do is play the game by calling out the letters and solving the puzzles using your voice, just as if you were in Culver City, California in Sony Pictures Studios on the actual show.
Now, I have been to a WheelMobile event. I have multiple Wheel of Fortune games. I have played the Wheel of Fortune games for the following systems:
-Super Nintendo Entertainment System
-Various CD-ROM games (there have been more than one Wheel of Fortune game made for the PC or MAC).
-Wheel of Fortune Plug-n-Play
-Handheld Wheel of Fortune game
-Wheel of Fortune board game
Out of that list, the one that comes closest to giving you as much fun as Wheel of Fortune for the Nintendo Wii is the Wheel of Fortune Plug-n-Play because you can literally spin the wheel. However, there are no people on the game whatsoever (nobody at all, not even Vanna White).
Now, here is what I really love about this game. It is literally to the show. After Pat and Vanna come out, you start with a toss-up puzzle worth $1,000. Don't worry, they explain during the game how to play the toss-up puzzle, so you don't even need the instruction manual. Then, after the first toss-up is complete, Pat Sajak has you do another toss-up worth $2,000 and the right to start the first round. After that toss-up is complete, Charlie O'Donnell explains about the Jackpot because it is the Jackpot Round and he explains about what trip is being put on the wheel. Now it is Round 1. They explain how to spin the wheel, purchase a vowel for $250.00, or solve the puzzle. If you are playing without Wii Speak, do not worry. They give you plenty of time to pick your letters or fill in the puzzle if you are solving it.
Finish round one. Pat Sajak goes over to the winner and congratulates him or her. Then he announces that you are going to commercial. There are exciting games to play during the commercials. I want to leave them as a surprise because they are that much fun.
Now you are at Round 2. The only exciting thing about Round 2 is, like Round 1, the following is on the wheel:
-The trip Charlie O'Donnell talked about
-The Wild Card
-The "Free Play" wedge
-The "$1,000,000" wedge in between the two bankrupts
Also, round two or round three could be a "Prize Puzzle." This means that whoever solves the puzzle will win an exciting trip and the value of the trip will be added to your score.
Round 3 is the "Mystery Round." The Mystery Wedges are worth $1,000 for every consonant that appears but behind one of the 2 Mystery Wedges is a $10,000 cash prize. Behind the other is a Bankrupt. Will you go for it or play it safe?
After round 3, Pat Sajak has you do the last toss-up valued at $3,000. Then you finish the game until the Final Spin where Pat gives the wheel a spin and each consonant is worth $1,000 plus whatever he lands on, so if he lands on the $5,000 wedge, each consonant is worth $6,000. The vowels are free of charge during the Final Spin.
Then, whoever has the highest score goes on to the Bonus Round. If you have the Million Dollar Wedge, you could be playing for $1,000,000! Otherwise you are playing for a measly $100,000 (lol). You spin the bonus round wheel. Then you have to solve the bonus round puzzle. Pat Sajak gives you the letters R,S,T,L,N, and E. Then you get to pick three consonants and one vowel. If you have the Wild Card with you, you get to pick four consonants and one vowel. Then you get a good amount of time to solve the puzzle, or you could just click on give up.
So, there is my review. I give this game 9 out 10 stars! Go out and get this game. I would pay $50.00 for this game, so it is a steal at $30.00. Plus, it has the theme music. What more could you want!
It's Wheel of Fortune as it should have been ages ago! It's America's Game! Let's play Wheel of Fortune!
Also, I think the Mii Pat Sajak and the Mii Vanna White are dating!!!
