This controller is identical except it is made of translucent green plastic (think halo x-box color). The controller works great, is light weight and fits well in your hand. The battery life is good, the controller is constructed solidly, and have had no problems with signal nor with adapting multiple controllers to the system without interference to each. Has created a whole new level of game play by freeing me up to play where ever I want. The wireless receptor that plugs into the x-box outlet has spots for plugging in a memory card if you chose to. Basically if you don't mind green instead of black you can get this controller and save yourself $8 as for whatever reason the black version is being sold for $35 while this version is going for $27.
