This game works using my Honeybee converter with the retro-duo Retro Duo Twin Video Game System NES & SNES - Red and Black I don't know how to save but I really like the way I feel when I play this game. I refuse to call it hype. I just have a bond for this game. I love the graphics and so forth, but when starting out make sure you don't have all warriors and there is a save function...I just haven't figured out how to use it yet. I would recommend this game. The play style is nice and easy to understand. Just make sure you know the language or a translator or you will get stuck like I am. I was going to wait until I had the Strategy guide Final Fantasy III 3 Nintendo Player's Strategy Guide, but I started playing it one night. I got all my men to level 8 found some cool stuff, kicked the guts out of a giant sea turtle (that was mysteriously on land???) and had a lot of fun doing it. Oh...and drinking from fountains generally brings your health up. Unless it does MP (magic points). One last thing. there is also this other strategy guide...it calls itself a secret. I have read some reviews and they call it a waste of time...but since I need all the help I can get I will be purchasing it as well. Complete Final Fantasy III Forbidden Game Secrets (Secrets of the Games Series.) and I just found this player's guide...it's cheaper...that's all I know...Final Fantasy III Player's Guide -Thanks!!!
