(More customer reviews)i bought this because i needed another wiimote and this is cheaper than the nintendo version. im not sure if i am going to return it or not.
i am not thrilled about:
1) you can hear the vibration more than you feel it, its like there is a piece loose or something.
2) the light is piercingly bright, maybe if you were using it in day time that wouldn't be annoying but then why would you need the lights. i chose the green one because i thought it would be less bright than the other colors. it has different settings so you can have the lights always on, always off, or light up when it moves a lot, but even the standard light showing which player you are is really bright.
3) when first using this i popped in the batteries in my old wiimote, which, according to the wii, had 2 bars of power left. maybe fifteen minutes into watching a netflix movie (not using the remote at all) it went to red and immediately died. afterwards i put those same batteries in my old wiimote and it continued to work just fine saying it still had 2 bars remaining. i dont know if the lights use up a lot of battery or what but im glad i use reusable batteries.
pros:
1) it is cheaper
2) the lights are cool i guess if you are one of those people who enjoy having unnecessary lighting on your computer case etc.
3) it is basically the same size and shape and i think the button placement might be a little better but i havent decided yet.
4) i like that its not boring white, i just wish the light was more subtle.

The AFTERGLOW family of controllers breaks new ground in form, features, and radiant aesthetics, delivering gamers an experience sure to have them glowing. The appearance of the AFTERGLOW controllers is defined by clear a polycarbonate body plastic, within which red, blue, or green circuit boards and components reside. The AFTERGLOW AW.1 for the Wii features relocated ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons above the ‘A’ button, allows greater precision in FPS and other action titles as well as tiered ‘1’ and ‘2’ buttons which improve horizontal remote game play, lend a retro feel to classic virtual console titles. Each AFTERGLOW controller allows the player to adjust the LED settings to: on, off, or acceleration (activates when remote is swung or shaken).
