I thought it would be like a game where you have to take care of your pets and that it wouldn't be fun for someone my age. Honestly, I have played this more than my boys! It reminds me of Super Mario Bros. but much easier and no bad guys to fight. You collect stars in each level (some are a little tricky to get that I have given up trying, but most are super easy), coins, fruit, and you have to "tag" each Zhu Zhu from the Wild Bunch. There are usually 2-3 Wild Bunch Zhu Zhu pets and you have to find them and just touch them to tag them, they then surrender with a white flag! The point is to find all the members of the Wild Bunch who are playing tag and some will even run away from you and make you chase them! It is also a challenge to see how fast you can beat the level and if you can get all the stars in it. You then use your coins to buy items use in the game like a construction hat, ski sit, jump suit and more! Each level only takes a few minutes to beat and there are over 35 levels total.
I love too how bright and colorful the game, not cheesy at all! You can't do too much either with the controller so it is easy to show kids what to do so they can play. Have a favorite Zhu Zhu? You can pick your Zhu Zhu and change it up throughout the game. You also get to roll in tunnels, drive cards, and drive boats all to make the game more exciting! Overall, this is definitely for younger kids but I admit I think it is fun and can be a little tricky!
