(More customer reviews)This PC video game is in the form of a CD-ROM. These games by Williams are all arcade classics. You get Defender, Defender II (also known as Stargate), Joust, Robotron, SiniStar, and Bubbles.
I bought this item in 1996. It won't play on my newer computer. I haven't been able to play these games in eight years because it only runs on Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. All my other games, such as Microsoft Arcade and Microsoft Return Of Arcade (both of which I bought in 1996) play just fine on Windows XP. Oh well. I got tons of enjoyment playing Stargate and all the other games in this set.
I grew up pumping quarters into these games in arcades in the early '80s. My favorite game of all time is Stargate (Defender II) because it's hard. Up, Down, Reverse, Hyperspace, Thrust, Fire, Smart Bomb, Inviso...............you remember how intimidating that game was, right? Well, I don't back off from a challenge, so that's why I liked it so much.
If you want to play some classic video games, buy this set if it's still available and hope it works on your version of Windows. I guess one would need to go back to the Stone Age and install Windows 95 in order to play this Stone Age set of games. Come to think of it, that wouldn't be such a bad thing........
