The kit comes with a front and back panel, honestly the controller probably looks best with either just the front OR back being chrome, while the other white or black. (Also means the kit will outfit 2 controllers).
Installation is honestly a bit tricky, the front is not threaded (i.e. you'll thread it yourself when screwing it in) so you'll have to push pretty hard to get a good seal when tightening screws. The D-PAD is crappy on the default 360 controllers, and in the shell it feels even looser. Fortunately few games make heavy use of the d-pad.
When it comes to looks - it is very, very good. One of the few products where the promo image actually looks exactly like the final product. If you're willing to tinker with the shell a bit to get it on properly, you should be happy with the result.
