(More customer reviews)There's simply no reason to pay such high prices for a cable that doesn't work any better. There is no difference between the picture quality that you get from these cables compared to that of other third party component cables that can be purchased for around $15 to $20. Even Nintendo's official component cables are cheaper than these.
That having been said, component cables do provide a significant improvement in appearance. Color and sharpness are improved, and it allows for progressive scan (if your television supports it). I highly recommend buying a set of component cables, especially for an EDTV or HDTV, but I do not recommend these specific cables.
